The renovated Viscosa Cultural Factory will reopen at the Suvesumin day festival on 20 June 2026. .

What does Viscosa offer to creators?
Viscosa is a distinctive piece of industrial heritage with a truly unique story in Estonia’s cultural landscape — an experiential place where, instead of machine engines, creative energy now echoes through the walls.
- Creative residency — starting in July 2026
- A concert venue both indoors (for 400–1,000 people) and outdoors.
- Three galleries for organising exhibitions.
- A black box–style hall for theatre productions, seating up to 200 guests, or the option for street theatre across the entire factory site.
- Support services — accommodation, catering, transport, technical production and marketing amplification via Viscosa’s channels.
- Junipers and grazing fields, with sea air that sets you free.
Creators at Viscosa
In 2021, the idea was born to transform the former Viscosa factory complex on Hiiumaa into a versatile Cultural Factory. Since then, many creators have brought intertainment — a touch of something deeper — to our guests at Viscosa, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who has walked this journey alongside us and helped enrich Hiiumaa’s cultural life.
